A syringe assembly A syringe assembly comprising a cylinder for containing one or more medicaments, the cylindrical body having a front outlet for allowing said one or more medicaments to be expelled from said cylindrical body through said outlet, and a first stop. arranged in the cylindrical body and movable axially therein and defining a first volume in the axially forward cylindrical body of the first stop and a second volume in the axially cylindrical body behind the first stop. The first stop has a bidirectional valve that is movable between a seal configuration and an open configuration to selectively place the first volume in fluid communication with the second volume. The two-way valve is movable from the sealing configuration to the open configuration by increasing fluid pressure in one or the other of the first and second volumes.
