A surgical instrument, comprising: a handle portion an elongate portion extending distally from the handle portion and having a curved section first and second curved jaw members disposed adjacent a distal portion of the elongated portion, the first jaw member being slidable with respect to the second jaw member in a substantially parallel closure movement between an open position and an approximated position for engaging body tissue therebetween, one of the jaw members having a plurality of fasteners contained therein and arranged in an arcuate row.
