A hair dye agent, a combination of the hair dye agent and a softener for dyeing hair and the method of using the combination are disclosed. The hair dye agent comprises a dye activator, a mordant, a stabilizer, water, and a carrier and/or an excipient. The dye activator is selected from gallic acids, the salts and the esters thereof and their combinations. The mordant is a ferrous salt selected from ferrous sulfate, ferrous chloride, ferrous nitrate, ferrous gluconate, ferrous lactate and ferrous fumarate.Linvention porte sur un agent colorant capillaire, sur une association de lagent colorant capillaire et dun adoucissant pour la coloration de cheveux et sur le procédé dutilisation de lassociation.
