PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is excellent in diffusibility of urine or the like and has a high leakage preventing effect.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a liquid permeable top sheet 2, a liquid impermeable back sheet 3, and an absorptive core 4 provided between them. The absorptive core 4 has a first groove 7 formed on a top sheet side surface and extended in a longitudinal direction y, and also has a second groove 8 and a third groove 9 formed on a back sheet side surface and extended in the longitudinal direction y. The front side end of the second groove 8 is positioned more at the front than the front side end of the first groove 7, and the rear side end of the second groove 8 is positioned more at the front than the center in the longitudinal direction y of the first groove 7. The front side end of the third groove 9 is positioned more at the back than the center in the longitudinal direction y of the first groove 7, and the rear side end of the third groove 9 is positioned more at the back than the rear side end of the first groove 7.
