System for supplying gas to a patient for the purpose of producing analgesia in the patient, comprising: a) a source of oxygen (16)； b) a reservoir (12) containing gas that produces analgesia, in which the gas that produces analgesia is selected from the group consisting of halothane and halogenated ethers, the halogenated ethers being selected from the enflurane, isoflurane group, sevoflurane and desflurane； (c) a supply manifold (22) that has a pair of inputs connected to the oxygen source (16) and to the reservoir (12), respectively, and that has an outlet, the manifold (22) providing a mixture of oxygen and of gas that produces analgesia, said manifold (22) comprising a pressure regulator (18) and a flowmeter (20) connected in fluid communication, the manifold (22) being configured to accurately measure the dose of the gas that produces analgesia from the tank (12), up to +/- 0.1% of the gas flow or less, to mix said gas that produces analgesia in strict proportions with the oxygen； and d) means for transporting the mixture from the outlet of the supply manifold (22) to the patient, in which the manifold (22) is configured to regulate the gas flow and the concentration of the gas that produces analgesia to the sedation limit aware.Sistema para suministrar gas a un paciente a efectos de producir analgesia en el paciente, que comprende: a) una fuente de oxígeno (16)； b) un depósito (12) que contiene gas que produce analgesia, en el que el gas que produce analgesia se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste en halotano y éteres halogenados, estando seleccionados los éteres halogenados a partir del grupo de enflurano, isoflurano, sevoflurano y desflurano； (c) un colector de suministro (22) que tiene un par de entradas conectadas a la fuente de oxígeno (16) y al depósito (12), respectivamente, y que tiene una salida, proporcionando el colector (22) una mezcla del oxígeno y de gas que produce analgesia, comprendiendo dicho colector (22) un regulador de presión (18)
