An IMD having electrodes for placement in an internal thoracic vein (ITV) of a patient may be employed to facilitate electrical impedance tomography (EIT) imaging. An alternating current (A/C) may be applied using the electrodes and impedances may be determined that are useful to produce a tomographic image.
