CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material which promotes skin cell differentiation comprises: a step of treating a test material to skin cells； a step of identifying relative expression level of DUOX1(dual oxidase 1) gene(Genebank Accession No.: NM_017434) in the skin cells； and a step of determining a material which enhances the expression level is the material which promotes skin cell differentiation. The skin cells are keratinocytes.
