Optical components e.g. plane-convex lens (16), achromatic lens (17), tilted mirror (18), optical deflection device (19) and beam splitter cube (23), lying at one of partial optical paths (13, 14) are formed in a large manner such that both eyes of a test person are engaged for a test. The paths are formed for one of the eyes. A closure device (30) is arranged at the former path and has two LCD-closure elements (31, 32), which are assigned to the paths. The monitoring device comprises an illumination unit that comprises an LED light source.
