The roller (10) has a tubular support (12) rotating around an axis (XX), and semi-hollow tires (14) mounted around the support. Sets of spacers (16) maintain the tires away from the support, where each spacer is made of loaded polyamide. The spacer has a hub (18) threaded around the support. Peripheral edges (20) of the spacers of same set maintain an annular retaining part retaining the tires. An elastic ring (24) made of natural or synthetic rubber is arranged around the support between the hubs of the spacers belonging to two adjacent sets.
