The present invention relates to a crystalline compound of 1-[4-(2-azepan-1 - ylethoxy)benzyl] -2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-methyl-1H-indol-5-ol (INN: bazedoxifene) of formula (1) with an acid selected from the group consisting of propionic acid or nicotinic acid or a hydrate thereof, where the molar ratio of the compound of formula (1) to the acid is 1:0.9 to 1:1.1, and to a process for its preparation.La présente invention concerne un composé cristallin de 1-[4-(2-azépan-1-yléthoxy)benzyl]-2-(4-hydroxyphényl)-3-méthyl-1H-indol-5-ol (INN : bazédoxifène) de formule (1) avec un acide choisi dans le groupe constitué de lacide propionique ou de lacide nicotinique ou dun de leurs hydrates, le rapport molaire du composé de formule (1) à lacide étant compris entre 1:0,9 et 1:1,1.
