PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcined material which can easily be cut and achieves high production efficiency, and a production method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing a calcined material includes molding ceramic particles coated with an organic material to form a molded body, and debinding and calcining the molded body in an inert or reducing atmosphere, and the calcined material is produced by the method. This calcined material has a carbon content of 0.01-0.5 wt.% and can easily be cut.
