The implant may comprise a single- or double-layer braided body with variable porosity. In the double-layer body, the first and second longitudinal sections with respective first and second porosities may overlap, so that the first and second porosities overlap each other. The dual-layer configuration can provide incrementally a third porosity in the distal portion and a fourth porosity in the proximal portion.
