A device for forming a lesion defines a path through it, a hub with a mounting structure at one end of the path, and a shaft that is attached to the hub and defines a lumen with a longitudinal axis through it including. The shaft includes a conductive material on at least a portion of the inner surface and a conductive material on at least a portion of the outer surface. The conductive member has a longitudinal axis such that the conductive member extends through the pathway into the lumen, and at least near the hub, the longitudinal axis of the conductive member is spaced from the longitudinal axis of the lumen, thereby allowing conduction.
