PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which enables a wearer to improve fitness optionally as needed, has simple structure and is capable of being easily manufactured.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article has an absorbent body, a top sheet which covers one surface of the absorbent body and at least partially includes a liquid permeable material, and an exterior body disposed at the outermost part directly or indirectly in the absorbent body on the other surface of the absorbent body. The exterior body is provided, on the surface side opposite to the absorbent body, with a holding means capable of holding a part of the exterior body in a state where it is valley-folded along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body at the width direction center part of the absorbent body and a marker which makes it possible to recognize a part to be valley-folded of the exterior body.
