A desquamating dentifrice composition comprising (A) a plurality of granules, the granules comprising at least one polymeric binder； and (B) an oral acceptable carrier in which at least one component of granules and an oral acceptable carrier further comprises at least one abrasive substance having an average particle diameter of from 0.01 to 4 mm, and wherein the composition further comprises a hydroxy acid. 2. The dentifrice composition according to claim 1, wherein the granules further comprise a thickening agent selected from hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), methyl cellulose and corn starch. The dentifrice composition according to claim 1, wherein the granules further comprise a plasticizer selected from propylene glycol, glycerol and triacetin. A dentifrice composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one abrasive agent comprises silicon dioxide. A dentifrice composition according to claim 1, wherein the hydroxy acid is selected from lactic acid, glycolic acid and neutralized salicylic acid. A dentifrice composition according to claim 1, further comprising a proteolytic enzyme. The dentifrice composition according to claim 1, further comprising a substance selected from a substance giving chlorite ions, triclosan, 5-chloro-2- (2,4-dichlorophenoxy) phenol, chlorhexidine, alexidine, hexetidine, sanguinarine, benzalkonium chloride, salicylanilide , domifenbromide, cetylpyridinium chloride, tetradecylpyridinium chloride, N-tetradecyl-4-ethylpyridinium chloride, octenidine, delmopinol, octapinol, piperidine derivatives, nisin, zinc ion-giving substances, ion-giving substances1.
