PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid cosmetic capable of adding a pattern to the surface of a container for containing a cosmetic without impairing the quality of the cosmetic.SOLUTION: A solid cosmetic 1 is provided with a container side pattern 51 added to the surface of a cosmetic tray 4. The container side pattern 51 is made from a pattern-forming cosmetic that forms a pattern on the surface of the cosmetic tray 4. Accordingly, when the solid cosmetic 1 is being produced, or when the solid cosmetic 1 is scraped during use, cosmetics 21-24 stored on the cosmetic tray 4 and the pattern-forming cosmetic are merely mixed together.
