PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a biological data model of an organ in a smooth state in the case of displaying a biological model.SOLUTION: In creating a biological data model from volume data so as to form finite elements, smoothing means included in a computer performs processing of moving an i-th node of the finite elements to xobtained by a predetermined expression including a correction coefficient λ with respect to a j-th node in the vicinity of the i-th node in a predetermined range, the processing being performed sequentially with respect to all nodes i. The smoothing means, then, smooths vertex positions of isosurface data showing a surface of a biological model by using a position of a surrounding vertex.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
