PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel for an artificial pond for suitably growing fish and plant at the same time and contributing to the cultivation of aesthetic sentiments and taste. SOLUTION: The vessel 1 for an artificial pond is provided with a water-reservoir 3 and a planting part 5. The planting part 5 is formed along the outside of a circumferential wall 7 of the reservoir 3. The circumferential wall 7 of the water reservoir 3 has a water-passing hole connected to the planting part 5 and a plug to open and close the hole. The outer circumference wall 9 of the planting part 5 has a water-passing hole connecting the inside and the outside of the wall 9 and a plug 25 to open and close the hole. The height of the top 13 of the circumferential wall of the water reservoir 3 is preferably higher than the top 15 of the circumferential wall of the planting part 5.
