PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which includes a lamp cooling mechanism, and in which radiated heat from a light source such as a lamp is effectively cooled even when a main power source is turned OFF during a cooling operation.SOLUTION: In the endoscope apparatus including a cooling fan for cooling radiated heat from a lamp, the cooling fan is operated continuously for a fixed period T0 even after the lamp is put out.
