A surgical or medical dressing 100 for application to the human body for concealing a structure (in particular, a stoma) on the said body, and a method of manufacturing thereof, comprises the provision of a patch 110 (e.g. a single silicone piece) having a concealing feature which interacts with the structure such that it is concealed when the patch is placed on the body. In a first embodiment the feature is an indentation 116 for receiving the structure and in a second embodiment the structure is a 3D formation (415, Fig 4) provided on a region of the patch which faces away from the body when in use (414 Fig 4). The dressing may further include vents (217, Fig 2) to allow gases to be vented from the indentation, an adhesive which adheres the patch to the body in use and an anti-bacterial component (318, Fig 3).
