The invention relates to a device (20) for introducing and positioning surgicalinstruments (10) in the body of a patient, with an outer sleeve (22), into whichouter sleeve (22) at least a front part (11) of the surgical instrument (10) maybe introduced. Said outer sleeve (22) may be removed for positioning the surgicalinstrument (10) at the point of application (10), wherein the outer sleeve (22)is retracted from the front part (11) of the surgical instrument (10) by meansof a drawing arrangement (21). In particular, the outer sleeve (22) can be drawnbackwards over the front part (11) of the surgical instrument (10) and the surgicalinstrument (10), or the front part (11) thereof exposed again such that the functionof the surgical instrument (10) can be carried out unimpeded. The outer sleeve(22) can be returned to the starting position, in particularly by means of a returnarrangement. The outer sleeve (22) can preferably be controlled by means of thedrawing arrangement (21) using the handle (15) of the surgical instrument (10).
