A flow sensor comprising a tubular body having a bore, a ventilator end, a patient end, and a central region a restrictor assembly located adjacent the central region, and fluidly connected to the bore, the restrictor assembly having a first pressure port having a first diameter, proximate the patient end, and fluidly connected to a second portion of a first lumen a second pressure port having a second diameter, proximate the ventilator end, and fluidly connected to a second portion of a second lumen and a restrictor post having a length connected to a shaft having a width wherein a first portion of the first lumen is perpendicular to a second portion of the first lumen, and a first portion of the second lumen is perpendicular to a second portion of the second lumen.
