The present invention provides a preventive or therapeutic agent for autism spectrum disorders, a pharmaceutical composition, a medical device, a food or a beverage containing silicon fine particles. Oral administration of fine silicon particles or indwelling on the skin or mucous membranes can prevent or treat autism spectrum disorders, and their preventive and/or therapeutic effects are excellent. Silicon fine particles are fine particles containing silicon capable of generating hydrogen in contact with water.
