PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To address the problem of having a pyridine anti-bacterial/anti-fungal agent stably dispersed in a liquid, and having this pyridine anti-bacterial/anti-fungal agent being appropriately applied to fibers, as well as of appropriately imparting anti-bacterial/anti-fungal properties to fibers, without causing any adverse impact even if the agent is used together with processing agents used during processing treatment of the fibers, such as dyes, fabric conditioners, etc.SOLUTION: An agent for imparting anti-bacterial/anti-fungal properties is used, the agent containing the pyridine anti-bacterial/anti-fungal agent, a modified polysaccharide having reduced hydroxyl groups, and a wetting agent, and not containing a surfactant； and this agent for imparting anti-bacterial/anti-fungal properties is applied to fibers, which are subsequently heat-treated.【課題】 ピリジン系の抗菌・抗カビ剤が液中に安定して分散されて、このピリジン系の抗菌・抗カビ剤が適切に繊維類に付与されるようにすると共に、繊維類を加工処理する際に使用する染料や柔軟剤等の各種の処理剤と一緒に使用する場合にも悪影響を及ぼすということがなく、繊維類に対して抗菌・抗カビ性を付与する処理が適切に行えるようにする。【解決手段】 ピリジン系の抗菌・抗カビ剤と、水酸基を減少させた変性多糖類と、湿潤剤が含有され、界面活性剤が含有されていない抗菌・抗カビ性付与剤を用い、この抗菌・抗カビ性付与剤を繊維類に付与した後、この繊維類を加熱処理するようにした。【選択図】 なし
