A shower chair apparatus 10 is provided which comprises a shower chair frame 12 including at least a seat support element (Fig 2) and a toilet seat module 14 which is engagable with the seat support element 22 and which includes a seat body 16 having an aperture 18 therethrough. The toilet seat module 14 includes at least one removable body portion 46, 48 which is engagable with the seat body 16 to alter a dimension of the aperture 18 suitable for different users of the apparatus. A toilet seat module 14 is also provided, as is a method of providing a shower chair apparatus 10 suitable for a plurality of different users having different body sizes.
