The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing climbing of shellfish, and more particularly, to an apparatus for preventing climbing of shellfish effectively preventing shellfish from climbing on alga for building underwater forest. According to the present invention, an apparatus for preventing climbing of shellfish is installed on supporting ropes vertically arranged underwater to support insertion ropes for inserting seaweeds, and comprises: a main body having buoyancy and installed to move up and down along the supporting ropes and having a hollow portion having an inner diameter greater than outer diameters of the supporting ropes, so as to be lifted or lowered along the supporting ropes according to a pressure change caused by tides and a stopper including first and second stoppers respectively fixed on the supporting ropes having the main body therebetween to limit a lifting position and a lowering position of the main body.
