The wooden shrimp (2) of this invention floats on the sea surface, comprising a shell (4), umbrella pins (24, 26) and water-contact surface (28). The umbrella pins (24, 26) are installed at the back-end of the shell (4). Said water-contact surface (28) is located in front end of the shell (4) and faces the forward direction of the shell and tilts down in the direction of the body height. Advantageously, the water-contact surface (28) of this wooden shrimp (2) is located more ahead of the center of gravity of the wooden shrimp (2). Advantageously, this wooden shrimp (2) is provided with a sinker (12). The sinker (12) is installed below the front end of the shell (4).
