PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism that can efficiently transmit a linear drive force from a drive member to a driven member.SOLUTION: The drive mechanism for an endoscope 1 includes: a drive motor 14 a shaft member that performs rotation movement as a center of a predetermined rotary shaft by rotation of the drive motor 14 and performs linear movement along a shaft direction of the rotary shaft and a link member 17 through which the linear drive force obtained by the linear movement of the shaft member 16 is transmitted without the rotation drive force obtained by the rotation movement of the shaft member 16 being transmitted.
