The ventricular fibrillation diagnostic apparatus comprises: an electrocardiogram signal detection part detecting an electrocardiogram; and a calculation processing part detecting a parameter of the electrocardiogram including the RR interval from an electrocardiogram signal received from the electrocardiogram signal detection part, and determining whether ventricular fibrillation is occurring using the electrocardiogram parameters. The calculation processing part comprises an electrocardiogram parameter detection part, a bivariate data calculation part, and a ventricular fibrillation analysis part. The electrocardiogram parameter detection part detects the RR interval and the area of the power spectrum of the QRS from the electrocardiogram signal received from the electrocardiogram signal detection part. The bivariate data calculation part obtains the correlation coefficient using the RR interval and the area of the power spectrum of the QRS as bivariate data, and obtains distribution of the RR interval and distribution of the area of the power spectrum of the QRS.
