PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical device capable of imaging an omnidirectional image in the direction substantially orthogonally crossing with a central axis on an imaging device in a simple constitution, and being a small type having less strain in image and favorable F-&theta characteristics to provide an optical system with the same and an endoscope using the same.
SOLUTION: The optical device consists of a transparent medium L1 having a field angle of one side approximately 90° about the direction orthogonal to the central axis 2 in the cross section including the central axis 2, being rotation symmetry about the central axis 2 and having a refraction index larger than 1, wherein the transparent medium L1 has a first transmission face 11 disposed in the outermost circumference from the central axis, a first reflecting surface 12 disposed closer to the central axis 2 than the first transmission face 11, a second reflecting surface 13 disposed in the opposite side of an image plane 5 relative to the first reflecting surface 12, a third reflecting face 14 disposed in the opposite side of the image plane 5 relative to the second reflecting face 13, and a second transmission face 15 disposed closer to the image plane 5 than the third reflecting surface 14. An optical flux constitutes an approximately W-shaped optical path A entering from the first transmission face 11, via internal reflections and outgoing from the second transmission face 15.
