The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for preventing aquatic growth on a surface of nets and other objects used in aquatic environments, or preventing the creation of an environment in which parasites and diseases thrive, the surface being heated by means of at least one induction coil which generates a magnetic induction field, where a transportation body selected from the group comprising a ROV, hoisting rig, lock and cradle is used to guide the at least one induction coil along the surface to be heated.La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour empêcher la croissance d'organismes aquatiques sur une surface de filets et d'autres objets utilisés dans des environnements aquatiques, ou pour prévenir la création d'un environnement dans lequel des parasites et des maladies se développent, la surface étant chauffée au moyen d'au moins une bobine d'induction qui génère un champ d'induction magnétique, un corps de transport choisi dans le groupe comprenant un véhicule télécommandé (ROV), un mécanisme de levage, un verrou et un berceau étant utilisé pour guider ladite bobine d'induction le long de la surface à chauffer.
