The control unit is configured to direct transmission of the stimulation signal, receive the evoked somatosensory response data from the sensor, identify a relationship change between the somatosensory response to a first stimulation signal and a subsequent 10 somatosensory response to a second stimulation signal and alert a user to the relationship change and display at least one possible cause for the relationship change.
