PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue monitoring biological information of a patient without displaying an erroneous heart rate caused by using an electrosurgical instrument such as an electric knife, and to reduce labor and time for an operation to continue monitoring.SOLUTION: The display 148 and the speaker 150 of a biological information monitor visually or auditorily output heart rate information expressing the heart rate HR of the patient. A surgical instrument usage detecting part 128 detects energization to the patient by the electrosurgical instrument.
