Surgical apparatus is disclosed comprising an angiotip and a flexible wire. The flexible wire is sized to be capable of extending through the inner cavity and freely movable within the inner cavity and the apparatus comprises means for frictionally engaging the flexible wire with the angiotip. The flexible wire can be introduced into a blood vessel, the angiotip slid along the flexible wire and the flexible wire frictionally engaged with the angiotip.Pulling of the flexible wire pulls the angiotip through the blood vessel.
