The present invention relates to a pill for treating hyperkalemia, including a polystyrene sulfonate metallic salt as an active ingredient and a manufacturing method thereof. The pill including a polystyrene sulfonate metallic salt as an active ingredient is manufactured by mixing starch which is a binder. In the present invention, the manufactured pill is widely used for treating hyperkalemia caused by chronic renal failure and metabolic acidosis because the manufactured pill hardly decreases an effect of a positive ion exchange resin used as an active component of drug and, when patients take the pill, patients reduces repulsion for the pill.본 발명은 폴리스티렌설폰산 금속염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 고칼륨혈증 치료용 환제 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 폴리스티렌설폰산 금속염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 환제는 결합제인 전분과 혼합하여 제조됨으로써, 약물의 활성성분으로 사용되는 양이온 교환수지의 약효의 감소 없이 약물의 복용감이 개선되는 효과가 우수하므로, 만성 신부전, 대사성 산증 등에 의한 고칼륨혈증의 치료용 환제로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
