PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying a content, in blood, of a prostate specific antigen (PSA) having a prostate cancer-specific sugar chain, with sensitivity and promptness allowable in diagnostic applications without using a column or the like requiring a process which is complicated though having quantitative properties.

SOLUTION: In the method for quantifying a PSA having aβ-N- acetylgalactosamine residue and/or a fucoseα(1,2) galactose residue at a terminal of a sugar chain by using a surface plasmon-field enhanced fluorescence spectroscopy (SPFS), a lectin of which the affinity with a PSA having aβ-N- acetylgalactosamine residue and/or a fucoseα(1,2) galactose residue at a terminal of a sugar chain is higher than that with a PSA not having these residues at a terminal of a sugar chain is used as capture molecules.
