To provide a roasting device that makes a roast article be roasted evenly by uniformly applying far infrared rays when a roast article is roasted by using the far infrared rays.SOLUTION: A roasting device includes a rotary drum 3 for receiving coffee beans and having multiple holes 32, a rotary drive unit 30 for rotating this rotary drum 3, and a far infrared rays irradiation device 4 arranged outside in the peripheral direction of this rotary drum 3. The far infrared rays arranged outside of the rotary drum 3 is made to directly irradiate the coffee beans through the holes 32 of the rotary drum 3.
