PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress atomization water held by a water holding member from directly being evaporated into indoor air, and to surely make an indoor environment comfortable, in an air conditioner.
SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes an atomizer 40 having an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor fan for distributing the indoor air, a water producing section 41 and an electrostatic atomizing section 42. The water producing section 41 includes a Peltier element 19, and a cooling member 22 thermally connected with a low-temperature section of the Peltier element 19 and producing the atomization water by condensing a moisture content in the indoor air. The electrostatic atomizing section 42 includes a conveying section receiving and conveying the atomization water produced in the water producing section 41, and an atomizing electrode 25 for releasing the atomization water of the conveying section to the indoor air blown by an indoor fan as ionic mist. The conveying section includes an atomization water receiving member 37 receiving the dropping atomization water produced in the water producing section 41, the water holding member 24 receiving and holding the atomization water from the atomization water receiving member 37, and a drying prevention cover 35 covering a surface of the water holding member 24.
