PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved diagnostic, prognostic and predictive approaches to diseases caused by abnormal proliferation, such as cancerous or pre-cancerous conditions.SOLUTION: A method for determining a prognosis of progression of a cancer in a subject comprises the steps of: (a) assessing a level of a first biomarker selected from at least one of Mcm2-7 in a biological sample collected from the subject； and (b) assessing the level of a second biomarker selected from at least one of geminin, Aurora A, Plk1, Ki67 and H3S10ph in the biological sample collected from the subject.
