PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently and continuously manufacturing a pants type absorbent article which is excellent in an appearance and a wearing feeling and is high in finish accuracy.
SOLUTION: This method comprises: a process of fixing a girth part elastic member 71 between a belt-like base material sheet 140 and an elastic member fixing sheet 150 and obtaining an inner layer sheet continuous body 130 having a flexible part 17 a process of joining outer layer sheet continuous bodies 120a and 120b composed of a belt-like flexible sheet to the inner layer sheet continuous body 130 in a stretched state and obtaining an exterior material continuous body 110 for which the flexible part 17 of the inner layer sheet continuous body 130 and the outer layer sheet continuous bodies 120a and 120b are not joined at least partially a process of fixing an absorbent main body 10 to the exterior material continuous body 110 and obtaining an absorbent article continuous body 100 and a process of folding the absorbent article continuous body 100 into two, then forming a side sealing part S, cutting it and separating it into individual pants type absorbent articles 1.
