The present invention relates to bleaching composition for hair comprising at least one compound with bleaching and/or highlighting effect and at least one dipeptide. The preferred dipeptide is carnosine. Process for bleaching hair characterized in that the anhydrous composition is mixed with an aqueous composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent.
