According to the present invention, it is verified that a Curcuma longa L. extract has not caused particular change in body weight and various organ weights in an experiment about change in body weight, various organs, etc. on a C57BL/6 mouse in which immunodeficiency is induced (experimental example 1); the Curcuma longa L. extract has effectively inhibited expression of cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12, IL-15, TNF-alpha, IFN-gamma, etc. in a cytokine expression experiment of splenocytes (experimental example 2); the Curcuma longa L. extract has increased T cell proliferation ability and B cell proliferation ability in an experiment about an effect on proliferation abilities of T/B cells in splenocytes (experimental example 3); the Curcuma longa L. extract has reduced the amount of antigen-specific antibodies in the blood in an experiment about an effect on the amount of antigen-specific antibodies (IgG, IgE, IgA) in the blood (experimental example 3); and the Curcuma longa L. extract has increased the activity of natural killer (NK) cells in an experiment about an effect on activation of NK cells in splenocytes (experimental example 4). Accordingly, the Curcuma longa L. extract can be practically used for a medicine and a health food which have an excellent immunity-enhancing effect and are excellent in prevention, inhibition and treatment of an immune deficiency syndrome caused by immune deterioration and damaged immune system.
