There is provided the compound N,N-bis-2-mercaptoethyl isophthalamide (NBMI), or a pharmaceuticaliy-acceptable salt and/or derivative thereof, for use in the treatment or prevention of paracetamol toxicity. Such compounds have particular utility in the treatment or prevention of acute liver failure associated with paracetamol toxicity.La présente invention concerne le composé N,N-bis-2-mercaptoéthyl-isophtalamide (NBMI), ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable et/ou un dérivé de celui-ci, pour utilisation dans le traitement ou la prévention de la toxicité du paracétamol.
