PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop technology of effectively exerting an ultraviolet ray protection effect of a sunscreen cosmetic achieved by compounding an inorganic ultraviolet ray scattering agent, that is, to improve an ultraviolet ray protection effect of the sunscreen cosmetic by designing the prescription, the effect achieved by compounding an inorganic ultraviolet ray scattering agent compounded into the sunscreen cosmetic.SOLUTION: The sunscreen cosmetic and a method for producing the sunscreen cosmetic are characterized by compounding an inorganic ultraviolet ray scattering agent comprising a hydrophobic particulate metal oxide, tubular basic magnesium carbonate, and an oil content.
