The present invention relates to a foldable side rail for a bed. According to the present invention, a bed side frame can be moved smoothly while being lowered with safety when folded or unfolded so that the operation can be smooth and user convenience and safety can be improved. According to the present invention, brackets are provided at predetermined gaps below a lower frame and an upper frame when the upper frame is disposed above the lower frame which is attached to a bed frame, and a post for connecting the brackets is assembled in a link structure for folding and unfolding on one side. Gas springs are provided in parallel in a transverse direction on one side of the upper frame, and a piston rod of the gas spring is hinge-assembled with the bracket which is attached to an upper end of a movable post, which is selected from one of the posts.
