PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device having high light-extraction efficiency and sufficient heat dissipation performance.SOLUTION: This lighting device has at least one light source at least one first optical fiber for causing an incident end to receive an incident light from the light source and an emitting end to emit the received light a wavelength conversion section including a phosphor to be excited by the light from the first optical fiber and at least one second optical fiber for causing an incident end to receive an incident light from the wavelength conversion section and an emitting end to emit the received light. Specifically, the emitting end of the first optical fiber and the incident end of the second optical fiber are equipped on one end side of the wavelength conversion section so as to oppose the wavelength conversion section, and a heat dissipation section thermally connected to the wavelength conversion section is equipped on the other side of the wavelength conversion section.
