PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a device and a method for objectively and reproducibly measuring a muscle stiffness score indicating muscle spasm. Systems, devices, and methods for measuring muscle stiffness at a given joint of an individual are provided. The system and the device include a measuring unit 4 and a processing unit. The measuring unit has a configuration applied to a body segment of a predetermined joint 504, 514, 534. The processing unit obtains multiple data sets from one or more measurement devices, analyzes the multiple data sets for one or more signs of evoked stretch reflexes, and calculates a muscle stiffness score. The muscle rigidity score is calculated based on at least the difference between the first rigidity and the second rigidity. The first stiffness is calculated from the first subset and the second stiffness is calculated from the second subset.
