PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intratubular moving body capable of improving moving speed in a tube and a method for controlling the intratubular moving body.SOLUTION: An intratubular moving body having a cylindrical inner cylinder having blocked both ends in an axial direction and a cylindrical outer cylinder covering the inner cylinder in the state of having the blocked both ends in the axial direction and regulated in extension in the axial direction, comprises a plurality of first extendable units extending/contracting in the axial direction by supply/discharge of fluid to/from an air chamber formed between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder.
