PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit which is constituted in such a way that an optical axis is decentered from the outer diameter center of a cylindrical member, and which nonetheless can hold high durability against high-temperature environment, and to provide an endoscope and a production method of the optical unit.SOLUTION: An optical unit 200 includes a cylindrical member 51 having wall thicknesses different in the circumferential direction, and a translucent member 53 provided at one axial end side of the cylindrical member. The optical unit further includes a joining member 85 that joins the translucent member 53 and the cylindrical member 51 together and seals one axial end side of the cylindrical member.
