According to the present invention, the exoskeleton assist device using a differential gear comprises: a waist fixing unit； a pair of first leg guides each positioned at both sides of the waist fixing unit to guide the thigh movement of a user； a pair of second leg guides coupled to the pair of first leg guides by a hinge to guide the calf movement of the user； a plurality of fixing belts installed on the first and second leg guides to surround the thigh and calf of the user； a power generation unit installed at the waist fixing unit so as to be positioned on the back of the user, and generating rotational power； a battery module provided at one side of the power generation unit to supply power to the power generation unit； and a pair of differential gear units installed between the waist fixing unit and the first leg guide to drive the first leg guide by the rotational power transmitted from the power generating unit.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019본 발명은 사용자의 신체 신호를 검출하여 신호를 처리하는 복잡한 과정이 요구되지 않고, 모터 및 기어 등을 정교하게 제어하지 않더라도 사용자의 보행 동작을 정확하게 보조할 수 있는 차동기어를 이용한 외골격 보조장치 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다.상기의 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명에 따른 차동기어를 이용한 외골격 보조장치는, 허리고정부； 상기 허리고정부의 양측에 각각 위치되면서 사용자의 허벅지 동작을 안내하는 한 쌍의 제1 레그가이드； 상기 한 쌍의 제1 레그가이드와 힌지로 결합되어 사용자의 종아리 동작을 안내하는 한 쌍의 제2 레그가이드； 상기 제1, 2 레그가이드에 각각 설치되어 사용자의 허벅지 및 종아리를 감싸도록 설치되는 복수 개의 고정벨트； 사용자의 등 쪽에 위치되도록 상기 허리고정부에 설치되어 회전 동력을 발생시키는 동력발생부； 상기 동력발생부의 일측에 구비되면서 상기 동력발생부에 전원을 공급하는 배터리모듈； 및 상기 허리고정부와 상기 제1 레그가이드 사이에 설치되면서 상기 동력발생부에서 전달되는 회전 동력에 의해 상기 제1 레그가이드를 구동시키는 한 쌍의 차동기어유닛을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
